Iran to Equip Armed Forces with New High-Precision Missiles


Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi announced on Sunday that the country's Armed Forces will soon be equipped with the third generation of high-precision Fateh missiles.

"We will inaugurate a series of projects in different fields on the occasion of the 'Week of Sacred Defense', including the delivery of the third generation of Fateh missiles (to the Armed Forces) as we have previously pledged," Vahidi said, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting here in Tehran today.

September 22-29 has been marked in Iran as the Week of Sacred Defense to commemorate the Iranians' sacrifices during the 8 years of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in 1980s.
