Norwegian navy orders from SA

A Stellenbosch-based company has announced that it has secured a R150m order from the Norwegian navy for radar to support helicopter operations aboard a new class of five anti-submarine frigates.

The radars are to be produced by Reutech Radar Systems, in collaboration with their Norwegian partners Electronicon AS from Bergen.

"Selection of the RSR 210N radar by a leading Nato navy represents a significant achievement for South African and Norwegian industries.
