Tucson-based Raytheon Missile Systems has been awarded a $22.5 million contract modification to supply 32 Evolved SeaSparrow ship-defense missiles to the United Arab Emirates and 40 missile shipping containers to a NATO consortium.About 45 percent of the work will be performed in Tucson and the rest will be done at two other U.S. sites and in several other allied nations, and the contract is expected to be completed by February 2010. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., contracted for the work under the Foreign Military Sales program.
