Pakistan to acquire frigate from China in 2009, three more in 2013

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence, Nisar A Memon Thursday [12 April] said Pakistan would get F-22 P frigate from China in 2009 while three more will be delivered by 2013.

Addressing a news conference here after the committee members' week-long visit to China, Nisar Memon said three of these frigates would be manufactured in China while one will be built in Karachi.

"China will also equip these frigates with six helicopters," he added.
