Al Qaeda Affiliate Shows Off New Fighter Jets in Syria

Al Qaeda MiGThe Turkistan Islamic Party, which is fighting in Syria under the “Turkistani Battalion" for al Qaeda, has purportedly released photos of newly captured fighter jets at the Abu al-Duhur near Aleppo.

The Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) was founded by Uyghur militants in western China and has been involved in global terror since its inception in 1993.

According to The Long War Journal: "The Turkistan Islamic Party also operates in China as well as Central and South Asia and is thought to have scores of fighters in Pakistan’s tribal areas and in Afghanistan.
