Russian Air Defense Forces Fire Pantsir-S1 Missiles at Contest


Russian air defense forces conducted air defense drills using the Pantsir-S1 air defense system in the Republic of Buryatia, as part of the professional competition "Keys to the Sky — 2015."

The Pantsir-S1 air defense system has been shipped to eight countries, including most recently Iraq, which made several large purchases from Russia to assist in its fight against ISIL.

According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, international orders for the export version of the system have been booked up to 2019.
