Iran to produce new indigenous destroyers: Deputy defense minister

Davamand FSIran’s Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami says the Islamic Republic plans to manufacture new domestically-designed and advanced destroyers within the next few years.

Speaking at a ceremony in the northern Iranian port city of Noshahr on Tuesday, Hatami said the new Mowj-class (Wave-class) destroyers will be built in the next few years.

The Iranian deputy defense minister also praised Iranian military experts for the production of indigenous Damavand destroyer.
