Four soldiers 'killed in horror blast after their helicopter landed in a minefield'

UH-60M Black HawkThe Black Hawk chopper was escorting workers repairing an oil pipeline in the dangerous Catatumbo region of Colombia.

Military officials have branded the tragedy an "assassination" in violation of international law.

They did not provide any more details

It is the deadliest in a string of attacks by the country's Revolutionary Armed Forces since the rebel movement lifted a six-month ceasefire in May.
