Tunisian Navy receives two new patrol boats from US

44ft patrol boatsThe Tunisian Navy has taken the delivery of two 44ft-long patrol boats from the US Embassy, marking the increasing strategic partnership between both the countries.

The delivery took place in the presence of US ambassador Jake Walles, Tunisian Defence Minister Ghazi Jeribi, and US Embassy vice-admiral Mohamed Khamassi.

The boats, worth more than $2m, have been donated as part of an ongoing programme, which provides assistance to the Tunisian navy.
