Malaysia purchases US missiles worth US21 million

AIM-120C7 AMRAAMThe Malaysian government is reported to have acquired missiles from the United States at an estimated cost of US$21 million, according to Asia-Pacific news portal The Diplomat.

The purchase is said to be part of a comprehensive partnership between the two nations inked between President Barrack Obama and Prime Minister Najib Razak last year as part of US efforts to ‘rebalance’ its presence in the Asia-Pacific.

The purchase involves AIM-120C7 AMRAAM missiles and associated equipment, parts, and logistical support.
