Navy Investigating Alleged Filming of Women in USS Stennis Bathroom

USS John C. StennisThe Navy is investigating an incident last week aboard the USS John C. Stennis in which a sailor allegedly filmed female officers inside their bathroom.

The aircraft carrier departed its Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton home Jan. 12 for flight qualifications off Southern California. The suspect came aboard with flight crews based there. The alleged incident occurred Thursday night.

"I am extremely disappointed in the alleged misconduct by a sailor temporarily embarked aboard our ship," Capt. Mike Wettlaufer, Stennis commanding officer, said in a statement released Saturday that also was posted on the ship's Facebook page.
