An agreement has been reached between the Dutch and Peruvian governments on the sale of three Agusta-Bell AB412 SP helicopters, the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on 19 January.
Signing of the contract is expected at the end of January, the MoD stated.
The helicopters - SP stands for Special Performance - were stationed at Leeuwarden Air Base and at Vlieland (a Wadden island in the north of the country) and were tasked for search-and-rescue (SAR) missions, often for the NATO air forces exercise area north of the Netherlands.
