Defense Ministry accepts Vladimir Monomakh sub built by Sevmash

Vladimir Monomakh SSBNRussian Defense Ministry officials and Sevmash shipyard executives signed an act of acceptance of the K-551 Vladimir Monomakh, the third strategic missile submarine of Project 955 Borei, in Severodvinsk on Wednesday, a source in the shipbuilding industry told Interfax-AVN.

"The Vladimir Monomakh acceptance act has just been signed at Sevmash," he said.

The submarine will raise the Russian Naval flag on December 19, a single day for the acceptance of military products. National leaders and military commanders will be watching the ceremony live from the National Defense Center in Moscow.
