Advanced nuclear sub Vladimir Monomakh ends acoustic trials

Borei-class SSBNBorei-class 4th generation nuclear-powered submarine Vladimir Monomakh has completed extensive acoustic trials returning from a voyage, the press service of military shipyard Sevmash in Russian northern city of Severodvinsk where the nuclear submarine had been built told TASS on Tuesday.

The submarine cruiser has fulfilled successfully all tasks and specialists have gathered all required data which will be processed at Krylov state scientific center, Russia’s main ship research and design company.

“So, the submarine has finalized a program of state trials, extensive acoustic trials and now will be prepared for handover to the Navy,” the military shipyard’s press service said.
