Russia's Defense Ministry to get four Il-476 planes in 2014-2015

Il-476The JSC Ilyushin Aviation Complex plans to deliver to the Russian Defence Ministry this year the first and in 2015 - second batch of the Il-476 military-transport planes, Ilyushin Director General and Chief Designer Viktor Livanov told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

The contract on the delivery to the Russian Defense Ministry of 39 military-transport planes of a new model Il-76MD-90A (Il-476) with the total cost of 140 billion rubles had been signed in October 2012.

"We have no doubt that this year we will, as a minimum, deliver one plane (to the Russian Defense Ministry), and most likely - two. And two more planes - next year," Livanov said.
