Roll-out of first M-346 for Israeli air & space force
Alenia Aermacchi presented today the first M-346 advanced trainer for the Israeli Air & Space Force in a ceremony held at company’s plant in Venegono Superiore, Italy.
In July 2012, Alenia Aermacchi was awarded a contract from the Israeli Ministry of Defence (IMOD) to supply 30 M-346 advanced jet trainer aircraft, to replace the TA-4 Skyhawks currently operated by the IAF, and ground based training systems in collaboration with other Israeli and International companies.
The delivery of the first M-346 to the Israel Air & Space Force is scheduled in summer 2014.
