BAE protests contract award to Raytheon

EA-18G GrowlerRaytheon's recently awarded U.S. Navy contract for the technology development phase of a Next-Generation Jammer system is being protested by BAE Systems.

The protest over how the Navy evaluated BAE's offering was filed this week with the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The Next-Generation Jammer is to replace the ALQ-99 tactical jamming system currently used by the Navy's EA-18G Growler tactical airborne electronic attack aircraft.
