Raytheon signs contract with Navy for JSOW missiles


The city's largest private employer Raytheon has signed an $80.5M contract with the U.S. Navy to purchase Raytheon's Joint Stand-Off Weapon missiles.

JSOW is group of air-to-ground weapons that use GPS and terminal imaging infrared seeker to guide the weapon to the target.

The Navy describes them as a precision strike weapon.
