Now officially an HMS – cutting-edge Ambush is commissioned into the Royal Navy


The second of Britain’s next-generational hunter-killer submarines today officially joined the Royal Navy family as HMS Ambush was commissioned into the Fleet.

Some 500 friends, family members and VIPs, led by Britain’s most senior admiral, attended the formal ceremony for the £1bn boat at Faslane.

The nation’s most advanced attack submarine was today commissioned into the Royal Navy today during a ceremony at HM Naval Base Clyde.
