North Korea Slams Seoul's Extended Missile Range


North Korea on Tuesday lashed out at a South Korea-U.S. agreement on extending Seoul's ballistic missile range to better counter threats from Pyongyang and claimed its own missiles are capable of hitting the U.S. mainland.

The North's top military body, the National Defense Commission, said it was ready to fight "the U.S. and all the puppet forces with nuclear (weapons) for nuclear (weapons) and missiles for missiles," according to the state news agency.

The NDC said its strategic missile units put "U.S. aggression forces not only in South Korea but also Japan, Guam and even the U.S. mainland within its target range," according to the news agency.
