HMS Edinburgh set to leave Portsmouth on her final deployment

HMS Edinburgh |HMS Edinburgh is due to leave Portsmouth at 10am today in what is the final deployment for the Royal Navy’s Type 42 destroyers.

The 5,200-tonne warship is heading to Africa, before crossing the Atlantic to patrol around the Falkland Islands.

She will then make a number of high-profile visits in the Caribbean and the USA.
