Russia Tests New ICBM Capable of Evading Missile Defenses


Russia on Friday test-fired a new intercontinental ballistic missile that is reportedly capable of evading defenses, as Moscow also commissioned a new early warning radar system, reports said.

The National Journal reported that the first launch of the new missile took place at the Plesetsk launch pad in northern Russia, according to Defense Ministry officials.

The announcement did not give the name of the missile but said it was fired from a mobile launcher.
