Chakrinarubet gets major overhaul

HTMS ChakrinarubetHTMS Chakrinarubet, Thailand's only aircraft carrier, is undergoing a major overhaul, its fourth since being commissioned into the Royal Thai Navy 15 years ago.

Capt Aniruth Sawasdee, commander of the ship, said HTMS Chakrinarubet was moved to the navy's Mahidol dockyard in Sattahip, Chon Buri, on June 4 for its fourth major overhaul.

The repairs were expected to take one month and the ship was expected to leave the dockyard on July 5.
