Fighter jets and surface-to-air missiles are set to be deployed in Poland's four host cities for the Euro 2012 tournament. Details of the deployment were cited in the Dziennik Polski daily, echoing the planning of Poland's Government Security Centre (RCB), which declared a list of potential threats to the tournament earlier this year.
The Newa SC, an upgraded version of the old Soviet S-125 Neva/Pechora surface-to-air missiles, is among the artillery on standby for the tournament, alongside GROMs (Polish anti-aircraft missiles).
