HMS Liverpool Returns to Liverpool


Last year HMS liverpool was scheduled to be decommissioned, but the conflict in Libya meant that this was delayed for another year.

To welcome HMS Liverpool home there was a plane trailing a banner saying "Welcome Home HMS Liverpool". She arrived at the Cruise Terminal, Liverpool on Wednesday February 29th 2012 around 9.30am in the morning.

There were many people photographing the event. I spoke to a chap who was working at Cammel Lairds when she was under construction. Two tugs helped her berth safely.
