Airbus Signs Deal With Kazakhstan For 2 C295 Military Aircraft

[C295]Airbus said Thursday it signed a contract to supply two C295 military transport planes to Kazakhstan and a memorandum of understanding for another six of the same aircraft.

In a statement, Airbus, a unit of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co NV, said that the order had been signed with Kazspetsexport, a state company belonging to the ministry of defense of Kazakhstan, for the two aircraft and the related service support package for spare parts and ground support equipment.

Airbus also signed the MoU with Kazakhstan for a further six C295 aircraft, for which separate firm contracts will be signed progressively over the next few years, the company said.
