Seoul Launches FX-III Fighter Competition

APG-63(V)3 AESA radarThe South Korean FX-III fighter competition was officially kicked off in late January by the country’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) releasing a request for proposal.

Raytheon, part of the Boeing F-15 Silent Eagle team, is offering the advanced F-15 APG-63(V)3 AESA radar which is already proven and in production for domestic and international customers.

This is the second competition in South Korea in which Raytheon is offering an AESA radar solution.
