Our boys to blitz Somalia pirates

HMS OceanAttorney General Dominic Grieve ruled the attacks — to be launched from aircraft carrier HMS Ocean and backed by Apache helicopter gunships — would be legal under international law.

PM David Cameron secretly ordered detailed plans to be drawn up at the end of last year for the military raids along Somalia's coast.

The action was also discussed at a full meeting of the National Security Council in No10. But senior Whitehall officials argued against the plans, fearing they could stir up more trouble in the region.
