Iran war games simulate foreign invasion


Iran has demonstrated its war-readiness after extensive military exercises started in central Iran. The country’s elite Revolutionary Guard is simulating a defensive war against a foreign attacker.

The Revolutionary Guard is a religious militia and is considered the support base for President Mahmoud Ahmadinjead.

This is the third such exercise in the last 12 months.
