Airborne Technologies to introduce light maritime patrol aircraft


Airborne Technologies has developed a low-cost maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) based on the Tecnam P2006T twin-engine piston aircraft.

In collaboration with Spain's computer services firm Indra and aircraft maker Tecnam, Airborne Technologies will integrate a number of sensors into the aircraft to create the maritime patrol capability, said Airborne Technologies chief sales officer Marcus Gurtner.

In the Asia-Pacific, potential buyers could include countries with long coastlines and limited budgets.
