S-400 firing tests in southern Russia

Tuesday saw firing tests of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems at the Kapustin Yar Missile Test Complex in southern Russia’s Astrakhan region.

The S-400 is designed to effectively destroy airborne targets, including aircraft and ballistic missiles at ranges of up to 400 kilometers.

The systems will be put on heightened alert in Russia’s Kaliningrad region in the immediate future.
