French defence electronics group Thales on Thursday said it had been ordered to pay 170 million euros ($248.3 million) in a legal dispute with Taiwan over the procurement of six Lafayette-class frigates.However, the French group said the payment would have a negligible impact on its financial results as the litigation had already been fully provisioned for in previous years.
