After a long wait, India is set to get the advanced ‘Nerpa’ nuclear attack submarine on lease from Russia by the end of this year, a senior Russian official said. While India still does not officially talk about the 10-year lease that has been in the works for years, news about the delivery of the nuclear submarine comes from the head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation.
Meanwhile, reports say that China will begin sea trials of its first aircraft carrier by next week, making its entry into a select club of nations that operate aircraft carriers.
