ITT completes major milestone on Swedish coastal surveillance program

LCR-2020ITT Corporation announced the successful completion of Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) for the first system of the Reliability and Modification (REMO) 870 Program to modernize Sweden's coastal surveillance radar systems.

For the past 20 years, Sweden's military forces have depended on ITT radars to defend against terrorists, pirates and other unwanted intruders.

In May 2008, ITT began a series of design upgrades based on ITT's new LCR-2020 radar and its integrated, turnkey coastal surveillance system, the SABER-2020.

This successful PAT milestone marks the first of multiple production deliveries – which will occur for the next few years – of the upgraded system.
