Iran to expand coastal missile systems

Noor anti-ship missileIranian Navy Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Gholam-Reza Khadem Bigham says Iran's naval forces plan to expand the country's coastal missile defense systems.

“Iran's Navy missile system is capable of protecting operation areas and points of coverage,” Admiral Bigham said on Saturday.

“There are different ways to protect these areas… and we can use portable missile systems for enhancing the missile range,” Fars News Agency quoted the Iranian commander as saying.
