A senior Iranian military commander announced that the country has started production of new military ships as part of its broader efforts to boost Iran's military capabilities."The assembly line for the production of missile-launching frigates with advanced systems and modern features have been set up," Iranian Navy's Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Gholam-Reza Khadem said on Friday.
"The military capabilities … need to meet our defense requirements to protect the Islamic Republic's interests against aerial, surface and sub-surface threats," the Islamic republic news agency quoted the commander as saying.
