HMS Dragon leaves Clyde for sea trials

Type 45 destroyerAnother warship today slipped out of a Clydeside yard to begin crucial sea trials off Scotland.

And Type 45 destroyer HMS Dragon left the BAE Systems Surface Ships’ yard having been fitted out with millions of pounds of hardware including anti-aircraft weaponry and stealth technology.

It’s a formidable floating fighting machine for the Royal Navy. It has a sophisticated radar system which can track objects as small as a tennis ball and Dragon will also soon be bristling with missiles.
