Israel has given a tick of confidence to the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program by confirming it will buy 20 of the advanced combat aircraft.Australia has so far ordered 14 JSF aircraft.
Under the deal signed in New York on Thursday, Israel will pay almost $US3 billion ($US3.06 billion) for the 20 aircraft for delivery from 2016, with an option for 75 more.
