Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Wednesday that the country is in talks with Russian officials to receive S-300 missile system.
"Russia's refusal to hand over the missile system goes against the agreement signed by the two countries," Vahidi said.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has already signed a decree, officially prohibiting the shipment of S-300 air defense missile systems, armored vehicles, warplanes and helicopters and warships to Iran in line with UN Security Council resolution No.1929 imposed against Iran on June 9 following Iran's refusal to halt peaceful enrichment work.
