Bulava finally goes off with a bang

Bulava missileIt was lucky 13 for the troubled Bulava missile programme after a successful test launch Russia's Dmitry Donskoy nuclear submarine in the White Sea on Thursday.

“The parameters of the trajectory of the rocket were completed as planned. The warheads were successfully delivered,” a press-service representative for the defence ministry told RIA Novosti.

Bulava test launches were put on hold after a failed launch on December 9, 2009, which was caused by a defective engine nozzle.
