Korea to Build Missile Defense System

Commander of the US Forces in Korea General Walter Sharp said the United States is doing its best to coordinate for Korea, US and Japan the building of a better missile defense system.

At a Senate Armed Service committee hearing on Thursday Sharp said Korea is striving to build a missile defense system with its recent purchase of missiles and it is also developing an additional command system with the US forces.

The General also said that North Korea has more than 200 long-range missiles that could reach the capital Seoul.
