Armenian minister guarded on anti-aircraft missiles for Baku

S-300 PMURussia's sale of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Azerbaijan has yet to be confirmed, the Armenian defence minister said today.

The acquisition of any kind of new weapon will affect the balance of power in the region, Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan told journalists, according to News.am.

He noted that the S-300 was a defensive and not offensive system. “Moreover, there’s no official information about Azerbaijan obtaining S-300s. At any rate, this information has already been refuted,” the minister said.
