Missile Attack from Iran Threatens Bulgaria

Patriot PAC-3There is a risk of a missile attack against Bulgaria. This became clear from yesterday’s statement of Defense Minister Anyu Angelov, who said that medium-range missiles from Iran could hit strategic targets in Bulgaria.

NATO experts warned that the whole of Europe is threatened by Iranian missiles. The NATO’s response to these threats is a Pan-European missile defense system that will shield the continent from possible missile strikes from Iran. The decision for its construction will be taken during the NATO summit in Lisbon.

“We will file a request to join the common European missile shield during NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s visit to Sofia on Thursday,” Minister Angelov said.
