Carriers project is safe, says new MP
The new Portsmouth North MP says residents should rest assured that the navy's aircraft carriers are safe.
Despite David Cameron telling The News he would have a full military spending review, Penny Mordaunt says she is confident the aircraft carriers are not at risk.
'We need to have a strategic review,' she said. 'And we cannot say "let's have a review" and then exclude aircraft carriers from it.
