Submarine talks between Poland and France stall

Scorpene submarineThe French military is planning to build new, state-of-the-art submarines in the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia.

However, talks between Paris and Warsaw have reached a halt, after the Polish Defense Ministry announced that the requirements set by France were too high.

The French want to be sure that the Polish government will buy a certain number of submarines from them, while potential customers in France are uncertain of their quality.
