Schedule of Bulava test launches depends on summer tests


The schedule of further test launches of the Bulava sea-based intercontinental ballistic missile depends on summer tests, head of the Russian armed forces’ armament department and Deputy Defense Minister Vladimir Popovkin said on Tuesday.

“It is important to comply with technologies in the assembly of the missile,” he noted.

Asked whether the test launches will take place from the Dmitry Donskoi or Yuri Dolgoruki submarines, Popovkin said, “If the Yuri Dolgoruki is ready, it will perform the test launches.”
