General Dynamics Receives $37 Million for USS Hartford Repair Work

USS HatfordThe U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat a $36.6 million contract modification for repair work on USS Hartford (SSN-768), a Los Angeles-class submarine damaged in a collision in March 2009.

Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics ( GD).

Under the modification, Electric Boat will continue work on the complete restoration of USS Hartford, including fabrication and installation of a hull patch, bridge-access trunk, port retractable bow plane and the sail.
