Israeli drones for Turkey pass critical tests

Heron TP MALE UAVA batch of Heron unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAV, produced for Turkey by Israel Aerospace Industries, or IAI, and Elbit Systems have passed critical performance tests in Israel.

According to Turkey’s top procurement official, Ankara is ready to accept delivery of the drones.

“Six of the aircraft have successfully passed the tests inspected by a team of Turkish officials,” Murad Bayar, head of the government’s defense procurement agency, the Undersecretariat for the Defense Industry, or SSM, told the Hürriyet Daily News & Economic Review.
