Navy chief refuses comment on Gorshkov

INS VikramadityNavy chief Admiral Nirmal Verma refuses to be drawn into a controversy, especially when it comes to price-sensitive issues such as the declaration of the cost of aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov.

Both India and Russia have held several rounds of discussion on the matter and a price negotiation committee from the ministry of defence has "arrived at a mutually agreed price".

"I cannot speak anything about the final pricing till the government's approval is announced," Admiral Verma told reporters here.
