Modernized Northern Fleet destroyer on sea trials

Udaloy-class destroyerThe Northern Fleet Udaloy-class destroyer “Vitse-admiral Kulakov” has started sea trials in the Baltic Sea, after being in overhaul for nearly 20 years.

The sea trials start in the Baltic Sea on January 18, web site Fontanka.ru writes.

The vessel was nearly ready in December 2009, but a fire on December 4, where one person was killed and another one severely injured, delayed the progress.
